SLAM, the student literary and arts magazine of Pierce College, is currently seeking the best poetry, prose, drama and visual art created by Pierce College students.
All poets, writers, artists and photographers are asked to limit the number of submitted works in each genre to ten. All submissions should include a brief (50 words) biographical note and be addressed to SLAM. All submissions should also include a signed Consent to Publish form (when submitting through Submittable, this is a check-box on your submission form).
For specific guidelines, see the genre options listed below.
All media welcome: Painting, Drawing, Illustration, Graphic Design, Photography, Sculpture, Ceramics, etc.
- 2D & 3D artwork submissions must be scanned or photographed using .tiff or .png files, minimum of 500 x 500 pixels at 300 dpi
- Note: if submitting through Submittable, you may need to reduce your file size in order to attach your file. If your work is selected for publication, we will contact you for the larger file according to the criteria above.
- Note: Students can also submit artwork on disc, deliverable to AAH 247 in Puyallup, or via your art professor. Students should indicate file format and platform. Disks will not be returned but may be picked up by contacting SLAM at ssnoek-brown@pierce.ctc.edu.
